How to Look Thinner Without Dieting

No - we're not saying 'don't lose those pesky pounds. We are saying that weight loss takes time - so why not look thinner sooner with these savvy slimming and trimming tips from Diet Bites:

Posture. Unfortunately, you don't see many over weight people standing stiff and proud as they typically slump. Some slump more than others. Before my massive weight loss over a decade ago - I was perhaps the biggest slumper on earth.

Nonetheless, improving your posture has slimming benefits. You'll not only look as if you're dropped a few pounds, you might gain some confidence in the process. So no matter what you weigh, and even those who are confined to a wheelchair  - stand or sit   tall as possible AND stand or sit proud.

Clothing. I've got so many black outfits that at times I just know that I'm related to Johnny Cash. I've always loved dressing in black. It's great for hiding small stains - such as those from a healthy plum or a cup of grape juice. But black also conceals pounds while in turn, lighter colors such as white tend to add pounds. You'll immediately look trimmed in black.

In addition, avoid moo-mooing and other outfits that swallow your figure as they have the potential to add pounds rather than hide pounds. Vests - these can work very well in concealing pounds but for some (such as shorties) they may actually  add pounds. Other quick slimming tips: avoid white and light colored stockings at all cost belts can add a trimming effect but like vests - they can work to add pounds on some individuals.

Ladies, may sure your holsters are working. Saggy breasts can add the appeared of extra pounds.

Hats,Sunshades & Tanning Lotion. Not only great for protecting your noggin from the power of the sun, but they work well in slimming the face. The taller the hat, the slimmer the look. Tanning lotion can also create a slimming effect.

Blush a Bit. Guys, sorry but this slimming tip will go totally wasted for you. Girls, applying a bit of blush in upward sweeps creates shadows, thus a slimming effect.

Hair Me Now. Flat hair that is injected with fluff and bounce can also add a dramatically slimming effect. However, avoid 'big' hair.

Just Swimmingly. Girls, when choosing a swimsuit, opt for the ones with the little skirts and grab a netty textured cover-up while you are shopping, or a wispy sarong. As a note, although guys go ga-ga over swimsuit models, their eyes might literally dislodge from their sockets in they were to view these women without professionally applied make-up and aggressive tanning. So stand proud - no matter what you weigh. A woman with confidence is far more attractive than one who hides in a cocoon.

Guys, opting for swimming trunks rather than the bikini-style suits will lend a slimming appearance. As noted with the ladies - stand tall and proud. Puff out your chest - including other well-endowed areas. Confidence is attractive - no matter what a person  weighs.

Make-up. Sorry guys - but another slimming tip for the ladies. Ladies, applying a powder-dusting to the face after the application of base can add years to your face, thus drawing attention to details, including your weight.

Patterns. Watch those horizontal patterns that encircle the body, thus lending a chunkier effect. Also avoid clinging fabrics such as velvet and satin which cling to every part of the body.
