Lucky you, little dieter! Know why? Because spring happens to be one of the best - if not the very best time of the year to get into a healthier shape.

Tip 1: Exercise Alone Renders Results

Winter and all of its foul, cold and bitter weather has passed and now the birds are singing, the sun is out and it's a wonderful time to add activity to your personal schedule.

Did you know that if you keep your current eating plan in place and if you add more activity to your day that you will see results in pounds lost on your bathroom scales? Try it and see! Just walking fifteen minutes to half an hour each and every day will start things rolling.

Tip 2: Fresh Fruits for Snack Times

There are a lot of delicious fruits starting to replace those autumn pumpkins. Look for berries - strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries will all put in an appearance, and oh my - do they all look fresh! That's because they really are during this time of the year.

By substituting that full-blown soda and candy bar with a cup of skim milk and a serving of berries, you'll lose even more weight.

Tip 3: Pretty, Healthy Vegetables Equal Salads

Salads are tops for dieters because they are rich in vitamin and mineral content due to the raw foods contained therein - and they are also super low in caloric values.

Try adding roasted meats or drained cooked beans to spring mix. Toss in a few cherry tomatoes, slices of cucumber and a bit of shredded carrot or baby carrots. Drizzle with a light dressing. Yummy!

Areas to monitor include high fat dressings, croutons, and shredded cheese.

Try steaming your fresh vegetables when you don't enjoy them in their raw state.
