What should you weigh?

There are a plethora of weight loss charts these days, each outlining what an individual's healthy weight should be. We have several at Diet Bites; some are patterned for dieters - while others are patterned for older individuals.

The following is based on lower weights than our standard weight charts for those individuals seeking the trimmest weight possible - yet who are still within a healthy weight.

As with all weight loss charts, you should meet with your doctor and get his or her input as to the condition of your body as well as information on your current state of health.

Only your professional personal physician can accurately define your ideal weight along with your help.

As a note, as a country we are becoming larger and larger each year; when we view old movies - such as those that were set back in the 1950's to the 1980's, which isn't all that far back in time, we can visually see how much larger our society has become. Housewives such as June Cleaver were rail-thin as were the men.

The Lean Weight Chart below is for both genders, based on adults in regards to their current height and body frame size. In addition, the 'Low and High' references equal the Lowest Weight for optimum health and the Highest Weight for such.
