Weight Loss Tip #701

A quick bread pudding that is delicious and low in calories will hit the Diet Spot.  Toss 2 slices of low calorie bread into a microwave safe bowl; top with Splenda, ground cinnamon, no calorie butter spray, 1/2 cup of skimmed milk, 1 teaspoon of Real Vanilla extract, and 1/3 of a chopped apple.

Microwave for about 4 minutes.  Sprinkle with a bit of brown sugar if desired.

1 large bagel contains about 250 calories - but of course, brands vary so always check the label.  Try something different by adding lean meat, a slice of skimmed-base cheese, a slice or two of tomato and a leaf of lettuce.  Spread bagel with light honey-mustard dressing and cut in two. Share with a friend or family member for less than 200 calories.

Weight Loss Tip #703

To take the bitterness out of cucumber, cut off the top and rub it against the flesh of the cucumber.  It will produce a light foam.  Cut off the end topped with foam, then peel and slice.

A dieter may experience 2 weeks or more on a weight loss plateau. The good news for those faithful dieters is that once the weight loss plateau peaks, weight loss generally ensues at a rapid rate.

The dieter should be prepared to face several weight loss plateaus while losing weight.  How many?  The more weight one has to lose, the more plateaus they will face - and conquer!

A diet high in vegetable content may help lower cholesterol, conquer obesity and contribute to a longer life.

Planning a vacation but don't want to diet while on that vacation? Then plan ahead and diet in advance and once the vacation is over, it's back to Diet 101 again.

And many times, it's good for your overall health just to relax and forget it all - so have fun, don't go nutsy coo-coo with food, and get right back on your diet once the fun is spended.

When purchasing ground beef, look for the leanest offerings possible.  Once the meat is cooked, drain excess liquid which will help remove unwanted fat and calories.

Mow the lawn and park that riding lawnmower. Manual mowing burns a plethora of calories while strengthening the body.

- take in plenty of fluids and don't overdo
- respect the sun
- wear a protective mask (it's so sexy)

Weight Loss Tip #709

Respect the 'most forbidden goodies' for they are high in calories. Examples: most pies, cakes, cupcakes, donuts, cookies and pizzas.

This doesn't mean that forbidden goodies can't be enjoyed with dieting.  Keep in mind that it's all about moderation.

Weight Loss Tip #710

Each packet of no calorie sweetener is as sweet as 2 teaspoons of sugar, thus saving about 40 calories per serving.
