Quick & Easy Bread Pudding Recipes & Bagel Sandwich

#1 Bread Pudding Recipe

A low calorie bread pudding may be helpful in satisfying that sweet tooth while one is dieting.

Take 2 slices of 35-60 calorie bread and sprinkle it with cinnamon and no calorie butter spray OR use butter flavored cooking spray OR lower calorie margarine.

Next, add 1 cup of skim milk, a shot of vanilla extract and a few slices of your favorite fruit such as sliced peaches or blackberries. Dust with brown sugar. Pop this mixture into the microwave for about 4 minutes. This recipe contains about 225 calories with 55 calorie slices of bread are used.

#2 Bread Pudding Recipe

This is a quick bread pudding that is delicious and low in calories.

Toss 2 slices of low calorie bread into a microwave safe bowl; top with Splenda, ground cinnamon, no calorie butter spray, 1/2 cup of skim milk,1 teaspoon of Real Vanilla extract, and 1/3 of a chopped apple.

Microwave for about 4 minutes. Sprinkle with a bit of brown sugar if desired.

Bagel Sandwich Recipe

1 large bagel contains about 250 calories - but of course, brands vary so always check the label.

This will go well with the bread pudding above.....

Try something different by adding lean meat, a slice of skim-base cheese, a slice or two of tomato and a leaf of lettuce. Spread bagel with light honey-mustard dressing and cut in two. Share with a friend or family member for less than 200 calories.

Quick & Easy Diet Rosemary Bread Recipes

1. The next time that you prepare a loaf of bread you can put rosemary into the mix - BUT, what if you forget? I did this once and my quick fix was to brush the top of the bread with a thin layer of margarine.

I suppose that water could also be used. Next I sprinkled on fine grains of rosemary and tucked the loaf back into the oven on 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. I suppose this technique could also be used for large biscuits.

2. Spray a slice of bread (60 calories or so) with non-stick, butter flavored cooking spray - and spray it well. Next, sprinkle on a bit of dried rosemary. Pop into your toaster. Warm rosemary bread is so delicious - buttery too, for only 60 calories.
