Dieting is a bit like buying a new roof or floor. It's very tough taking off the old so the new just sits right on top, covering the old baggage.

Dieting is mind over tummy. Dieting is an attempt to redefine what truly controls our willpower. We shift that control from the tummy back to the brain where it belongs - in that empty spot where it left many moons ago.

Don't feel obligated to clean your plate when dining.  Eat until you feel 'almost full' as it takes your tummy about 20 minutes to let your brain know that you're full.

Most species of fish contain about 1/2 the calories of beef and other red meats.

Mix: 1 teaspoon of peanut butter, a pack or two of Splenda, and 2 teaspoons of old fashioned oats.  

Roll into several tiny balls and more Splenda, if desired. Calories: about 120.

Diet Cinnamon Toast Tip: 1 slice of 35 calorie diet bread sprayed with no calorie butter spray, a dash of cinnamon and 2 packets of Splenda.  

Place on pan sprayed with non stick buttery cooking spray and cook until golden.  35 calories

Weight Loss Tip #68

Meringue cookies are ultra low in calories and contain only a trace of fat because they are prepared with egg whites.

Whip egg whites, slowly add Splenda and a bit of extract, and coloring if desired.  Bake at 270 degrees until set.  Remove and allow to cool before storing in an air-tight container.

Weight Loss Tip #69

Meringue piecrusts are ultra low in calories and contain only a trace of fat because they are prepared with egg whites.

You can cut 100 calories OR MORE per slice of pie by going wild with meringue!

Before the invention of golf carts, golfing was one of the healthiest sports around. It still can be!

If you choose to take up this breath-taking sport, concentrate on driving the ball rather than driving the cart.
