Snacking Tips to Trim Belly Fat

Suckers for Weight Loss

For a sugar fix that contains minimal calories, yet lasts an ultra long time, enjoy a sucker.

Suckers not only contain minimal calories (generally 20-80 calories each depending upon the brand of sucker and the size of the sucker), they also come in many different flavors, sizes and textures.

Ice Cream

There are many varieties of ice cream sandwich rounds that contain a skinny 130 or so each. Most provide generous servings. While you're visiting the frozen section, check out the smaller pops made with no calorie sweeteners.

Fatty Foods, Pass Up the Bargains Because They Aren't Really Bargains When They Involve Your Future Health

Sometimes store bargains are difficult to pass up. You're on a weight loss plan, yet there sits a package of your favorite cinnamon rolls on sale for $1.00. Pass it up! You won't save in the long run when it comes to your good health.

Fiber Curbs Hunger - Stick with foods full of fiber to curb hunger for hours.

Examples: 1/2 cup of pinto beans, serving of oatmeal, 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter on a few crackers.

Dark Chocolate for Weight Loss - For undeniable chocolate cravings, enjoy 1/2 Hershey's dark chocolate bar for about 110 calories OR have a few Dark Chocolate Hershey's Kisses. Everyone can use a Kiss now and then!

Choose hard candies for a quick sugar fix that can take a long time to eat.  Hard candies contain minimal calories, particularly when compared to wedges of cakes, pies and other sweet treats.

Another great thing about hard candies is that they come in all shapes, colors and flavors!

Trimming Diet Tips for the Kitchen

If you're feeling frustrated about your weight loss plan OR if you'd just like to work off some calories, make bread. No, not in your new-fangled bread machine - make it the old fashioned way.

When you're done, you'll have something for your efforts. Be Diet Good and just enjoy 1 slice per meal. Be sure to add up the calories in the recipe ingredients so you'll know how many calories are in one slice.

Cornstarch vs Flour

Replace cornstarch for flour when making sauces and gravies. Cornstarch makes a clear gravy that is unique and so delicious that it's often the choice of the Cooking Grandmother when dieting or not.

Don't make your favorite food feel lonely. You're more apt to experience weight loss success if you incorporate that favorite goody into your diet plan.  Just take care to account for the calories.

Rice Steamer - Great Diet Tool - Invest in a rice steamer for fail-proof, perfect rice - as well as great pearl barley. A bit of steamed rice served with low calorie stirfry is very satisfying and makes one feel like they aren't on a diet at all!

Dieting Tips

We often get lost in the Big Picture, particularly when it comes to our weight.  Make it a point to focus on one meal at a time.

Practice makes perfect and soon, you'll be mastering those post-diet skills and turning them into weight management skills that will last a lifetime.

Hikey in your Nike's! Comfortable shoes ensure a productive walk. Shoes that don't fit properly, or that aren't intended for walking may pose risks in addition to stamping hurtful blisters on the feet.
