Volcanic Mountain: Slice 2 peeled bananas into very small slices.  Add 1/2 cup of cubed fresh pineapple, a Tablespoon of nuts, a few raisins, a few packs of no calorie sweetener and a few dashes of cinnamon. Add grated coconut if desired.

Mix well and transfer to two wine glasses - or any dish. (Clear, tall stemware tends to make a stunning presentation. It's the Brad Pitt of glassware.)

Your fruity mixture will 'cone' out of the glasses like a tiny mountain. Dollop dessert with a bit of LIGHT whipped topping. Sprinkle top with just a dash of nutmeg OR cinnamon. Use nutmeg very sparingly. A little goes a very long way and a lot can be lethal.

Most restaurants have a 'food gimmick' that serves several purposes.

a) the 'free food' keeps the customer happy while waiting for their order, b) the 'free food' might be so tasty that you'll share the news with a friend and, c) you'll naturally eat less when your food arrives, therefore leaving you with the false impression that the restaurant is the most generous restaurant in the village.

'Free foods' examples are: baskets of special biscuits, baskets of corn muffins, baskets of chips and hot salsa, baskets of hot rolls, buckets of uncracked nuts, and herb-based breads. Avoid these 'free foods' at least until your meal arrives. This will limit 'empty calories'.

The size of a typical fat cell in an adult at 'healthy  weight' is about 0.6 micrograms, but they can range from 0.2 micrograms to 0.9 micrograms.

Try a dieting experiment for breakfast. On the first day, choose a healthy breakfast such as a bagel and a smear of cream cheese OR fresh fruit and cereal. The next day, load up on donuts.

Which day did you feel most productive? Less anxious? Better about nutrition?

Although I absolutely adore eclairs, and I absolutely love how I feel while I'm eating one (yes, a very big one) after I'm finished, that love fades quickly and is replaced by the jitters. Shortly afterwards, I take on that 'Einstein' look.  Bring on the healthy bagels!

Oil Sponges - When preparing eggs, pancakes and hashbrowns for breakfast, you'll save a good many calories by reaching for your can of non-stick, no calorie butter spray. While eggs tend to just bubble in the pan, pancakes and hashbrowns are oil sponges. Everything they soak up goes into the consumer.

Cut back on calories further still by using the refrigerated variety of no calorie butter spray on your eggs, pancakes, waffles and toast.

Stock up on party diet breads. This variety of bread is generally found in the deli department at your local market and is about 2 inches by 2 inches in size. Top your tiny party bread with diet-wise selections such as lean meats, skim based cheeses, light egg salad, light chicken salad and simple veggies.

Make sweet fruit soups for summertime by using cooked fruit and a bit of sugar free gelatin to thicken juice of fruit with.  Rule of thumb: 1 teaspoon of gelatin per fruit. Gelatin will add strength to your nails. And fruit is just flat good for you!

It's never too late in life to work on getting healthier. From the youngest to the oldest, we're all living on borrowed time. Go for the gold in you!

Prayer and/or meditation can be big keys in opening the door to Weight Loss Success.

Avoid loud prints and colors which render a 'larger than life' appearance. Dressing smart can produce slenderizing results.
