Diet Snack Guidelines

Breakfast - 1 fruit, 2 grains, 1 fat, 1 dairy

1/2 fresh grapefruit (small to medium & feel free to enjoy with no-calorie sweetener)

2 slices of Raisin Bread (100 calories each)

1 pat of reduced fat margarine

1 cup of skim milk  

Lunch - 3 vegetables, 1 protein, 2 grains, 1 fat

Tuna Salad Sandwich

-1 cup of shredded lettuce


-1/4 cup of diced tomato

- 1/2 can of drained albacore tuna

- 1 Tablespoon of Light Mayo

- 1 teaspoon of golden raisins (optional)

Mix and enjoy on 2 slices of 70-calorie whole grain bread.

Also enjoy 1 single serving package of baked chips. (allowed 140 calories)  

Dinner - 3 grains, 1 fruit, 1 protein

1 cup of your chicken noodle soup (up to 150 calories)

1 whole grain roll or slice of whole grain bread (70 calories) OR 6 saltines

1 slice of angelfood cake (up to 150 calories) topped with 1 cup of fresh strawberries sprinkled with Splenda if desired. Top with 2 Tablespoons of light whipped topping.
