1 slice of whole grain bread, toasted (70 calories)
1 pat of butter
Lunch - 2 grain, 2 protein
2 Hot Dogs
- 1 frank, cut lengthwise & heated (grilled,
pan-fried, broiled, etc. - allow 110 calories for frank)
- 2 hot dog buns (110 calories each)
- 1/2 cup of hot dog sauce
- mustard, kraut and relish if desired
1/2 cup of baked beans (110 calories)
Dinner - 1 protein, 3 vegetables,
2 dairy, 2 grains (large shell)
Handsome Diet Burrito:
- 1/2 cup of refried beans mixed with 1 teaspoon
of chili powder
- 1/2 cup of sauteed onions
- 3 ounces of grated cheese (120 calories)
- 1 cup of shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup of diced tomato
- 2 Tablespoons of regular sour cream
- 1 large burrito shell (flour - allowed 160 calories)
Cook shell in pan on stove using cooking spray OR
warm between paper towels in microwave. Heat beans.
Fill flour shell with all the ingredients listed above,
folding and rolling your creation burrito-style.
