The Sky Taylor Story - How Sky Lost
Over 100 Pounds
Mid-January - The Year
of the Final Diet
It was cold outside,
much colder than the average Texas winter. I sat in
front of my computer playing a game of Solitaire as
I enjoyed a large serving of my famous homemade lasagna.
It was a beaute alright - eight layers high with three
different cheeses all tucked inside.
And as I was taking that
last bite, I saw my reflection on my monitor - at least,
what would fit. And I just didn't like what
I saw.
Suddenly, the New Year's Resolution that
I had made only a couple of weeks prior came echoing
into my head. Failed - I was nothing but a Diet Failure.
I was going to be fat until the end - and I knew that
because I was so tubby that the end could come at any
moment.
It was at that moment
that I decided to challenge the Diet Demon that was
living inside of me. I'd show him who was boss - and
it had to be a male because he was so darn stubborn.
I'd take that golden apple that he'd given me and I'd
stuff it down his throat - past his viscous fangs because
I was no longer afraid of him.
I began running - all 220+ pounds of me
running on asphalt. Having nice-sized boobies, they
had exploded along with my weight gain and I was very
lucky that I didn't put an eye out amid my runs.
I remember leaning over
and trying to catch my breath as I ran, just flat breathless.
Every day, I struck out
- just like the mailman - through blinding rain, snow, sleet and hail.
Of course, there's not much in the way of snow in Texas,
but it has its moments.
In between walking, I
did sit-ups - 100 of these puppies. In the morning when
the alarm blared out, I didn't head off to pee first
thing - no, I sit up in the bed and began doing sit-ups.
Incorrectly - all 100 of them but even so, I was developing a tummy of iron to
match my bladder of steel.
At meal time - wait,
there was no meal time. That's right - I simply
didn't eat, at least for the first couple of weeks.
During this phase, I allowed myself liquids. Yes, I
had developed my own liquid diet consisting mostly of
bullion cubes loaded with sodium. I now held a PHd in
liquid dieting - Poor Human diet.
By the end of January,
I stepped on the scales to see that I now weighed 195
pounds. My diet was working - in more ways than one,
but of course at the time, I didn't realize that.
