The Sky Taylor Story - How Sky Lost
Over 100 Pounds
June - The Year of the
Final Diet
June was hot in Texas
that year, but for the first time in years the heat
didn't register. No heavy sweating, and it was so much easier
to breathe these days.
I felt very light on
my feet, and my thoughts were much clearer these days.
It was at this point that I should have realized that
I needed to change to a healthy course as I continued
to lose weight.
But I didn't.
Why? Because something else was happening.
I was beginning to fit into that size 6 swimsuit. Oh,
I looked like a stuffed turkey for weeks in the thing,
but oh-so-slowly, my petite figure was beginning to
make a comeback.
The diet plan was working
- wacky or not. I'd be a Diet Fool to discard it now.
I envisioned little black
dresses and spiked heels. I yearned for the color white
which I had discarded years prior because light colors
had the tendency to make one larger than life.
I longed
for more weight loss.
I craved exercise - running with the
wind now, feeling like Zeus and Helena combined, my
diet breath enough to knock all the bark and acorns
off the trees as I breezed by - but I didn't care. Let
my half-bald little head feel the sun, the wind and
most importantly, weight loss.
By the end of June, I
had reached my 139 pound weight goal. 120's here I come!
