Raw Foods for Weight Loss

There aren't many plump animals in the wild but you can find them a-plenty in the backyard of Modern Day Man.  Other than the domestication factor and decreased activity levels, cooked foods play an important part of plumping up our beloved little pets.

This knowledge provides insight to the human obesity factor.  As technology advanced, man was challenged in thought rather than in body.  Unused muscles turned to fat requiring less calories (food/energy) to support.

As time progressed, man consumed fewer and fewer raw foods, opting for processed goodies and foods that were produced in vast quantities so that we not only had foods that were fattier, less fibery, more carby and packed with more calories - due to the marvelous capabilities of our new food producing machines, we could have as much as we wanted, money permitting, of course.

One of the best ways to move to a thinner and leaner body is to embrace some of the old ways that have been tossed to the side, trampled almost to obliteration by the wheels of modern technology.

Some of the old ways are some of the best ways to lose weight and to lose it quickly and safely.  One, is enjoying more raw foods in the daily diet.

The use of raw foods in the diet for use in weight loss and weight maintenance in an almost forgotten health key.

You can see what eating more raw foods can do for you by trying a simple experiment.  Simply incorporate raw foods into your daily diet.  Try fresh fruit over cooked desserts.   Enjoy a small plate of raw veggies for snack time rather than a candy bar and soda.  See how much better you feel.

Raw foods can do so many healthy things for the body.  To demonstrate one example, let's go back to the animal packs and present another experiment you can try at home.....

If you have a pet, try feeding it canned food for a day or so with nothing dry or crunchy.  Then, examine the teeth - very carefully!

You will probably notice a lot of old food around the teeth and gum line.  You'll want to brush those choppers now - while you have the chance.

Next, add dry food to the pet's diet and recheck the teeth in a day or two.  You should notice that the teeth and gum lines are free from old food.

With this said, raw food is not only low in fat, low in calories and high in nutritional value, it also provides fiber to help keep us regular as well as texture to help keep our teeth in a healthy state.
