Getting Active for Fat Loss ResultsAny type of dancing can help you lose weight - and most all is fun. Belly dancing is ultra fun - not only to do, but also to watch. Some activities - whether performed inside or outside the body require more energy than others. There are several great belly dancing for weight loss tapes on the market - and all that we have reviewed demonstrate to the 'student' the art involved. So one only needs to be willing to learn as all the steps are clearly set forth. As you progress, you may want to invest in a tingly costume, but that will depend upon how serious you become. We did learn that there is much more to belly dancing than just wiggling the hips, although 'that classic sway' is quite enchanting. There are also steps that are incorporated into the routine - so there is a lot of moving about. I worked up a good sweat, deciding to slowly work up to the full tape. The idea is to have fun losing weight - not to end up sore and miserable. Belly dancing also promotes strength and endurance in the body. Take note however, that any type of dancing, isn't enough on its own to ensure a healthy weight. Exercise combined with a healthy diet is the key to weight loss as well as weight maintenance. In SummaryThis is a very fun activity - and when we experimented with the tapes, my husband and myself laughed A LOT. You end up having so much fun that you forget it's exercise.
