SWIMSUIT ISSUE

Oooh la la, summer is just right around the corner and arriving with the heat is skimpier whether gear. More specifically, swimsuits.

Wintertime is a good time of year to 'hide' a little extra baggage because of the popular sweaters, coats, vests and poncho garments. I used to love hiding in a yellow raincoat and imaging that I was the Morton Salt Girl!

Nonetheless, when summer hits, you'll want to be as light and lean as possible - swimsuit or not!  Prepare now because as each day passes, it builds into summer - as does weight loss.  A pound of weight loss may not seem like anything BUT as pound after pound comes off slowly, it adds up to some swimmingly results!

Positive things about teen weight loss:

- When a person gets rusty, the likelihood of stuffing their saggy body into a smaller garment gets pretty...slim.  Yes, even when an older person loses weight, sagging body parts (specifically skin) becomes a common compliant due to the lack of elasticity.  (And you thought it was constipation, eh?)

By losing down to your recommended weight during your teen years, your skin is just about guaranteed to spring back into place. It's like jumping on a very firm mattress! So if you've got some unwanted pounds to lose, get them off early in life so you won't face PMS (Permanent Muscle Sagging).

- Losing to your recommended weight as a teen also reduces potential weight-related problems that can pop up later in life.

ABOUT OILY COMPLEXIONS

An oily complexion can really be a bother! Your makeup is hard to apply, you always feel greasy, and oil is bothersome when zits are on the rise.

However, take some comfort in knowing that individuals who have oily skin usually retain their youthful appearance later in life. I'd be willing to bet that Dick Clark had extra oily skin.

Try not to 'strip' all the oil off you face because as bothersome as it is, oil works in moisturizing.

You may also enjoy the following face cooler:

Grind or grate one cucumber until extremely fine and mix with a dab of vitamin E cream. Apply to your face, taking care to avoid the eye area.

Let it 'rest' on your face for about 5 minutes.

My, don't you look fresh as a cucumber?
