What is a Calorie? | How Many Calories Makes One Pound? | Burning Calories | Walking 1 Mile Burns How Many Calories? How to Achieve Diet SuccessMake this diet plan your last by making weight loss last.
There have been scads of diet books, manuals and articles written on the keys to weight loss yet Today's World is heavier than ever before in the history of man. Was it that the written material wasn't good or poorly written? Was it the tips and suggestions for losing weight that failed the potential dieter? The menus? Actually, while a few failures might be attributed to one or more of these issues the true reason why overweight and obesity are still in control is because losing weight isn't as easy as some make it out to be. When we're dealing with an individual (like myself) who is or who was (like myself) obese we are dealing with an individual who has an eating disorder. An eating disorder occurs for a reason. It may be something in the individual's past. Perhaps they experienced a traumatic event that left them traumatized. Because eating offers us comfort and peace and a feeling of goodwill, the emotionally scarred individual often turns to food. The individual may have had parents who didn't closely monitor their child's diet and the child became obese due to poor dietary habits. Kids can be angels or devils and perhaps the mean-spirited kids picked on the obese child. Again, emotional scarring. And because the overweight child was never introduced to a healthy diet, they may have no idea where to start when it comes to eating healthy and losing weight. Whatever the cause of weight gain - no matter how much weight has been gained, it can be conquered as I am living proof. But it's never easy because of the underlying addiction. It requires much work and focus not to regain the weight. But it can be done. Personally speaking, if you are seeking permanent weight loss then there is something within you that knows you will never regain the weight. I had went on eons of diet plans to get rid of the weight. I was short and severely obese going on two decades ago. My last diet was much different than any diet I'd ever went on because I knew that I wasn't ever going to regain the weight again. The second tool that is most important for weight loss is motivation. Without motivation, weight loss is going to be difficult at best - if not impossible for the long term. And the third most important tool is losing weight for yourself and no one else. Not necessarily to be the best that you can be or the most sexy person on the planet, but to avoid serious health risks, or at minimum cut risks to your health going forward. I hope that these articles are of help as you move towards losing weight. Be sure to keep your diet plan interesting and move forward. It's time to quit focusing on your weight and to get it off. The longer than you wait to lose those pounds, odds are the more pounds you'll have to lose and the unhealthier your body will be. So get moving and do it now!
