Reduced Chocolate Cake Recipes

You will need the following ingredients to prepare this recipe:
1 pint of fresh strawberries
1 cup of reduced sugar orange juice (50 calories per cup)
1 small container of reduced fat or fat free whipped topping, thawed
peach halves packed in their natural juice
Start by placing the peach halves along with a bit of their natural juice into a pretty dessert dish. Add the whipped topping.
In the blender, puree the orange juice and the strawberries into a smooth consistency. Add to the dessert dish.
This is another very easy diet recipe to prepare; you will only require fresh fruit, low fat yogurt and reduced fat whipped topping.
|
Start by arranging the fresh fruit into a dessert dish.
Fold 1 cup of the low fat yogurt into 1 cup of the whipped topping. Drizzle with a thin stream of chocolate syrup if desired.
There are reduced sugar varieties of the chocolate syrup on the market these days which is quite tasty.
The Recipe Ingredients
1 chocolate cake mix, Dutch chocolate, German chocolate, Devil's food or milk chocolate
eggs as directed on the package
1/2 cup of reduced fat sour cream
1 cup of mashed banana
1 single serving of low fat yogurt
Chocolate cake is one of the highest calorie cakes; brownies are a close cousin and we know how deadly those can be to a weight loss plan.
To make this reduced chocolate cake you can use a chocolate cake mix. Add the required number of eggs and water, but don't add the recommended amount of vegetable oil. Instead, add one cup of mashed banana along with a single serving size of low fat yogurt. Also add 1/2 cup of reduced fat sour cream.
Mix the batter well then transfer to a bundt pan, a coffee cake pan or a tube pan. Bake according to the package directions.
Allow to cool before enjoying. If you need a sweet fix to add to the cake, rather than frosting, try whole strawberries and a serving of light whipped topping or reduced fat whipped cream.
Small Corningware rounds work perfectly for these delicious Mini Cheesecakes. Arrange on a holiday tray to wow guests. May be topped with a bit of strawberry preserves or glaze OR the topping of your choice. We used a fresh whole strawberry in our recipe below.
Recipe Ingredients
1 small container of whipped cream cheese (makes about 4 Mini Cheesecakes)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Extract OR the Extract of your choice (lemon is divine + a bit of grated lemon rind)
Graham Crackers, crushed (Use about 1 whole graham cracker per Mini Cheesecake)
Margarine OR Butter
Splenda
Whole Fresh Strawberries (or the berry of your choice)
Sprinkle crushed crackers and a bit of Splenda into one microwave-proof Corningware round. Next, pour on 1/2 teaspoon of melted margarine and press mixture slightly so that it creates a flat crust on the bottom of the round.
Combine cream cheese and eggs. Be sure to use whipped cream cheese. Next, add vanilla - or the extract of your choice. Spoon mixture into rounds. Microwave on high for about 2 minutes OR bake in the oven until golden at 350-degrees. Allow to cool and top with a beautiful whole, fresh strawberry.
One of my favorite candy treats is the delicious Chick-O-Stick, known to many kiddies as 'chicken legs'. Our local dollar store sells these peanut-buttery goodies for about 10 for a buck - so what a deal. And speaking of deals, one Chick-O-Stick contains 90 calories and takes a long while to eat, whether one chooses to bite it off - or simply lick-it-gone for a long lasting treat.
Our original recipe is also light on the waist and so easy that the kiddies can help create this peanuty holiday dessert for dieters and non-dieters alike.
Recipe Ingredients
1 small container of thawed FREE Cool Whip (15 calories per serving)
Chick-O-Sticks - enough to encircle your cake
1 Angel food Cake
Frost the cake with Cool Whip, then stick the Chick-O-Sticks around the outside of the cake. A bit of crushed Chick-O-Stick can be sprinkled on the top if desired. OR, mix crushed Chick-O-Stick GENTLY with Cool Whip before frosting the cake.
Light as a feather - and ultra easy to make, our Parlor Cakes incorporate the festive mood of the holiday by using ready-made ingredients to allow you more time to shop and shop and yes, shop - rather than slaving over a hot stove or surrendering your wallet to the local bakery. This recipe is a guaranteed Kid Pleaser!
