Quick Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Soup

1 cup of prepared chicken breast, bite size pieces
1 large container of de-fatted, low sodium chicken broth
1 medium size can of each of the following vegetables: sliced carrots, sliced potatoes, green beans - cans drained of liquid
1/2 cup of frozen onions, bell pepper, celery tri-mix, chopped
2 Tablespoons of regular margarine
cracked black pepper

Preparation Steps for Chicken Soup

Using this technique will add flavor to this soup. While we strive to keep fat out of our foods, using minimal regular margarine in this recipe makes a richer, tastier soup.

1. Melt the margarine in a deep pot and add the onions, celery and bell pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Add then to the pot along with the chicken and stir to coat with the margarine. Use a bit more if necessary for coating purposes.

Dust with the cracked black pepper if desired.

3. Add the chicken broth; if you want more broth - then add two boxes rather than one. Heat thoroughly - and you're ready to dine.
