How to Prepare Our Spaghetti & Meat Sauce Recipe
This is a fairly straight forward recipe; just add the cooked vegetables to the marinara then serve with the pasta. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese if you wish for a few more calories. Add a serving of Italian bread to the meal along with a nice side salad mix of vegetables and light dressing. How about an apple that has been cored and placed into the microwave for about five minutes - and that afterwards is filled with a spoon of light brown sugar, one chopped nut such as walnut or pecan, a dash or two of ground cinnamon and a teaspoon of light margarine? Sounds good, doesn't it?
Glazed Ham Rolls Recipe Ingredients & Preparation Notes
Rectangular slices of baked deli ham work best for this recipe - but as long as the ham is large and long enough to be rolled, it will do just fine. Add the slices to a pan containing unsweetened pineapple juice and about 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. Allow the ham to heat, then remove from the juices. There are two purposes; first to warm the ham and second, to add other layers of flavor.
Fill one end of the ham roll with the following mix of sauteed vegetables, nuts and dried fruits: broccoli florets, sliced mushrooms, chopped onion and bell peppers of different colors, dried cranberries, golden raisins, dried pineapple tidbits, and chopped English walnuts.
Roll and secure with a toothpick; pour the pan of juices that you used at the beginning of the recipe to heat the ham into a serving dish and lay the ham rolls on top. Dust with just a bit more of brown sugar. The rolls should be hot enough so that the brown sugar melts; if not then return to the heat or place into the oven.
