Pleasurable Method for Burning Calories
This may be the most pleasing method for melting off a few kcals but unfortunately, it doesn't burn a sufficient amount. The caloric burn is almost a mirror of the number which occurs when watching television, a movie or sitting at the computer and surfing.
In order for the body to trigger a significant burn, it requires motion - and quite a lot in order to achieve fat loss. Fact is, our daily diet is the most influencing factor where our body weight is concerned. However, adding a healthy dose of moderate exercise to our fitness plan can certainly impact not only our weight - but also the state of health for the body.
Kissing & the Caloric Burn
Much depends upon how intense the kissing is - or the intensity involved in any activity. The more intense, the larger the amount of energy will be expended.
When energy expenditure exceeds the amount necessary by the body - or simply put, the amount that the body utilizes throughout the day to sustain life, the result is a decrease in body weight. Another highly influencing factor involved is the current size of the individual; the more pounds on the person - the more energy that will be burned.
For example, a person who is about 115 pounds will burn about 13 calories amid a 15 minute session of kissing. A 250 pound person will burn more than twice that amount; and they are over two times the size of that 115 pound individual.
How do the number of kcals expended while kissing compare to the number utilized by the body in an inactive state? Unfortunately, they are about the same. Fact is, we have to return full circle to the beginning where motion and movement are the determining factors in relation to the caloric burn.
While kissing will burn energy, the amount is very minimal in comparison to high-impact activities such as running, walking briskly or hiking in the mountains. Even washing the dishes by hand will spend more energy - but is certainly not as fun as this activity!
