Calorie Needs Averaged for Woman - Large Frame

If you have a large skeletal frame then you'll be able to consume more calories than women with small or medium skeletal frames as your body will naturally take more calories to support.

There is often a misconception regarding body frame size in women. Even small women have large body frames.   And even larger women have small body frame sizes.

So how many calories does it take to support your weight? Let's see.....

Example: The Daily Calorie Needs for a woman with a large frame who is 5'5" tall and leads a Moderate Lifestyle requires an average calorie intake of about 2,190.  If the lady exceeds the 'Active' status then she will require even more calories.

For example, Dana is a mountain climber - an avid one. She burns quite a number of calories amid her climbing and depending upon how much time she spends climbing, she will burn more or less calories. As winter rears, Dana is planning to climb a snowy mountain in the bitter cold with a team. She may burn 6,000 or more calories amid her short climb.

Simply put, even the environment in which we live influences the number of calories that our bodies use and expend.

Let's go a step further and look at Dana's climbing partner, Sue. While they are the same height and will perform the same amount of activity, Sue will burn 1,000 more calories amid her climb because she has a more efficient metabolism. She has excellent genes.

In summary, several factors influence our weight outside of height and activity level. But our Calorie Needs Chart is an excellent spot to start planning and aiming for weight loss goals.
