Protein Grams in Coffee, Tea & Other Popular Beverages

Coffee is very minimal in protein at about 0.20 grams per 6 fluid ounces. The different varieties will vary in content as will instant and specialty coffees.

Coffee Benefits, Negatives

For those containing caffeine, this agent works to dry-out the skin. Because of caffeine's drying properties it can also create constipation issues.

On the other hand, it may mildly stimulate the metabolism thus providing a boost for weight loss while sharpening our senses. It's great for erasing mental fog.

Some health studies indicate that coffee with caffeine may benefit heart health.

Beverages Richest in Protein Grams

Malted milk contains the most at 10.50 grams per serving with homemade cocoa coming close behind at 9.50.

Eggnog contains 4.50 grams per serving while instant coffee contains 0.18 g per six fluid ounces. As to club soda, herbal tea, sports drinks, regular tea and water, all contain zero protein grams.

Fruit & Vegetable Juices, Cocktails, Soda, Fruit Nectar

Apple juice contains a trace of protein while most fruit nectars hold about 0.5 g per cup.

If you're a Sugar Ant like me, you're probably saving about 120 calories per serving.

Eating on the Run

Avoid eating when in a rush. Meal times should be savored.  Eat Slowly.

Fat in the Diet

Parkay and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter are two, no calorie butter sprays that are delicious and will add a burst of butter to your diet without adding fat or calories.

Nuts in the Diet

Enjoy nuts! Nuts are a natural food but are also high in calories and fat - so be sure to measure your intake, and just enjoy a few. They are very filling and provide great health benefits.
