There's good news on the Diet Horizon for men when it comes to dieting.

Research indicates that men are more likely to diet these days than in the past. In the past, dieting was a woman's domain. It was all about figure and looks and keeping up with the other sheik barnyard chicks.

But the dieting focus is undergoing a big change in the way society views dieting. Rather than Weight Loss Focus, it's more about Health Focus, and in trying to not only achieve a healthy way of life, but a longer life.

Lite beer, diet sodas, lightly salted nuts, light chips, low fat cheese - all consider the Food of Men, even though they are also enjoyed by women, too.  But the new trend focuses on health, and those favorite foods are becoming a bit healthier as time goes by.

So men, here are some really boss suggestions to get you started on that new healthier way of life, the Diet Bites way:

If you don't know quite where to begin on the diet trail, we will point you in the right direction. Check out our arsenal of motivational articles, and diet tools located in our site map link at the end of this article.  We will show you step-by-step how to lose weight and get fit.

Take a very close look at your daily meal plates when you have a FULL stomach.  Ask some serious questions, such as, "What can I do to cut fat?  To make my diet healthier?  What foods do I seem to eat far too much of when I am around them?  Can I cut out snacks?"

Promise yourself that you'll take up some active activities that you enjoy.  Try to walk 10-20 minutes straight, at least every other day.

Secure the help of a friend or family member; take the family dog out for a stroll so that the time will pass by quicker. When you have a pal along for the duration, it makes things more fun.

And most importantly, get your doctor's thumb's up before venturing onto any Diet Trail. Feel free to share Diet Bites with your doctor.  

Explain your current foods and drinks that you consume throughout your day in detail and listen to any feedback that your doctor or nutritionist provides.  They are your best friend as you walk to meet the Old Weight Loss Trail.  

Approach dieting as something fun!  Something that is GOOD for you, for your body and for those around you.  

There is an old saying, "Life is what we make it."

I have another to add to that, which is, "Dieting is what we make it."  It can be fun, or it can be a stony ride to Slimdom on a hot iron broom. Who wants that?
