Diet Suckers - A Great Diet Treat

On a diet?  Searching for something that takes a long time to eat, something that tastes sweet, and something that doesn't contain a plethora of calories and fat?  If so, head for the sucker section of your favorite market.

Be sure and 'stick' to the see-through versions of suckers as those that contain a fudge center or a caramel center tend to be a bit more pricey in caloric content and may even be accompanied by a bit of dietary fat grams.

The average sucker (those that are about the size of a giant olive) contains about 50 to 80 calories, and most tend to be fat free (minus that caramel or fudgy center).

Another great thing about suckers is that they come in a variety of colors and flavors, so there's one to suit most every mood.

Let's take a look at a few more candies that can fit into most healthy diet plans - on a moderate basis. And you may love this because yes, some contain that fudgy burst.

Note that the candy which contains nuts contains just a splash of dietary fiber content. The same holds true for candies containing dried fruits - such as the Raisinets and while the milk chocolate versions are delicious, the raisins dipped in the dark will contain a few heart-healthy benefits.

As to the candy bars, break one in half; enjoy some now and save the rest for later - or for the morrow.

Also take note that just because a product contains sugar substitute, doesn't mean that it is always that much lower in caloric values; check the labels. And if you're one of the unfortunate individuals impacted by side-effects related to sugar-substitutes, you may be granted the gift of gas along with your serving of sugar-free candy. Keep in mind - there is always a trade-off. Nothing is free. Ever.

If it's hot outside, many of the regular candy bars will hold up well in the freezer and make a delicious cold treat that is yes, fun to eat!
