Over Weight Problem

Written by Diet Bites

Down and out about being over weight? No doubt about it - those extra pounds can certainly sap one's spirit.

But please don't remain in the doldrums for long because there is a solution to your overweight problem. All you need is a bit of patience, a savvy diet and the desire to tackle an activity that you enjoy.

Soon, those extra pounds won't be a problem anymore. This link is a great place to start losing weight.

It's vital to your state of success to determine the reason or reasons why you are putting on unwanted pounds. Generally, the reason is because we are feeding the body more energy (calories) than it can utilize in a day and the excess energy is very precious to the body; it doesn't waste a smidgeon - so it stores it for later use in the fat cells.

While this worked grand in the days of yore when cavepeople walked the earth and when harvest and gathering times were sparse, in today's world it serves to add pounds to the body. Everywhere we look, there is some sort of food or drink tempting us. We turn on the television - and there it is, a cheeseburger resting beside a side order of fresh fries and a chocolate or strawberry malt - just waiting for us to come and get it.

We go to our computer and we see yet more food and drink to tempt us. We drive to the movies and the roadways are lined with food and drink advertisements. Once we get to the movies, the smell of hot buttered popcorn adds five pounds to our body - and we just smelled the stuff; think about what the result will be once we munch-through that great big bucket - one that has extra butter added.

On that note, besides eating to much let's see what other factors or elements in our daily schedule can assist in unwanted weight gain. To better determine the origin of your over weight problem, ask yourself the following questions:

- Am I feeling blue because I am over weight? In this event, the individual may be seeking comfort and security in the form of food and drink as they both serve as 'security blankets'. Unfortunately, they also serve to create layers of unwanted fat when too much is input into our body.

If this applies to you, try to find other methods of dealing with these blue feelings. If feelings of helplessness or overwhelming feelings have occurred, it's important to see your doctor right away as a deeper health problem might exist. And it's important to take care of YOU so YOU can be the best YOU can be for others around YOU. See - it's all about YOU!

- Has a health issue suddenly developed that you suspect may be connected to your over weight state?

If a health condition has suddenly developed, don't continue the guessing game. Instead, meet with your doctor to rule out any health problems.

- Do I feel overwhelmed about my weight? If you have a few pounds to lose, then you're less apt to harbor these concerns. But for the individual whose weight has launched out of control, they may feel that they can never be thin again. Hey - trust me; I was once two times the size of my current body weight - and you can lose the weight too, no matter what you weigh. Stick around Diet Bites; visit the link to our site maps below and get busy dropping those unwanted pounds. You really can do this and you only need to believe in yourself.

Think about this...

A group of people are on an airplane. They are flying over a tropical island and the plane experiences engine trouble - and they have to make an emergency landing. There are 100 people on board - and the island has very little food available; there are minimal food supplies on the plane.

People start fishing in the ocean for food - they climb coconut trees for food - and they hunt edible plants for food. After one week, everyone is eating fish, coconut and edible plants. Everyone is losing weight with these natural foods. No one is starving. Even the fattiest of the group are losing weight. One gentleman was more than 200 pounds overweight - and he's losing weight.

With this said - with the right foods and with limited foods in the daily diet, the body will naturally lose weight. Of course, the stranded island people were not enjoying the healthiest of diets - and it was lacking in certain food groups such as grain and dairy. The point of the story is to illustrate that anyone who is overweight will lose the weight when calories are decreased in the daily diet.
