Still dreaming about that bikini or sweet little swimsuit? Don't just dream!  Get to cracking on a diet that will trim away those excess pounds.

If you start now, you can be 18 pounds or more thinner by the first day of summer.

If you find it impossible to lock your chocolate chip cookies completely out of your diet, limit them to snack time and enjoy no more than two.  It's a step up from grabbing a stack.

Yummy Spring Pies

These tasty cream pie recipes were part of our Mother's Day line up and are too good not to share.  You can create these fresh Fluff Pies in less than five minutes!

We've got a couple of different variations which use the same base - light whipped topping, a store-bought vanilla crust (such as Keebler) (we like the vanilla crust better than the graham for these pies) and whipped yogurt. If you aren't a yogurt fan, substitute low calorie, fat free, sugar free puddings.

KEY LIME PIE: Simply fold 1 small container of Cool Whip FREE with 2 single serving sizes of WHIPPED key lime yogurt (100 calories each) and spoon into pie shell.  Decorate with mint leaves if desired OR sprinkle with a bit of green sugar granules.

CHEESEPIE: Fold 1 small container of Cool Whip FREE with 2 single serving sizes of WHIPPED vanilla yogurt (100 calories each).  In a deep mixing bowl, blend 8 ounces of LIGHT cream cheese with a bit of fresh lemon juice and skimmed milk until fluffy.  Add 1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract. CAREFULLY fold in the Cool Whip mixture.  Fill pie shells. Makes two pies.

Diet & Weight Loss Tips That Work at Work

'Working' is one of those fuzzy words.  For those who have back-breaking, studly jobs, high energy foods really foot the bill.

But for those who use more brain than brawn on the job, high energy foods can pack on unwanted pounds. And let me tell you, it isn't fun when one grows out of their office chair.

On that note, here are some tips for the Brawn-Challenged that might help fight weight gain at the workplace:

Avoid eating at your desk.  Besides, there's nothing more embarrassing (if you don't count the chair issue above) than handing your boss an important document stained with mustard, catsup and chocolate chip cookie. continue

A man goes on a 3,000 walk and arrives to his destination 100 pounds thinner.  Just one more great example that illustrates the power of walking.

The recent European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)  Aspartame study conflicted with a prior Aspartame study conducted in 2005 by the European Ramazzni Foundation which concluded that Aspartame causes cancer.  In reaction, the FDA requested and received portions of data from the ERSA and is actively reviewing such.  After review, the FDA will announce its conclusion.

The FDA rejected a petition from a Japanese company that sought to include green tea health claims on its label; specifically that green tea reduces the risk of heart disease.  The FDA concluded there is no credible scientific evidence to support this health claim.

Best Buys at Your Local Food Market

Here are a few of the best fresh buys at the market this week, which are much the same as last week:

  • It's berry pickin' time and you don't even have to get you hands dirty.  Look for ripe red strawberries and healthy blueberries that are so nutritiously powerful that they may slow down the ageing process.
  • Other great buys include: lettuce - all types, greens, potatoes, mushrooms.
