- Getting Fit for Fall
As
we empty our plastic swimming pools and
take a few last sweeps over that brown lawn,
we see that we are entering the countdown
phase for fall. Cooler temperatures,
snuggly sweaters, good books, and heartier
foods are all in store for those good dieters
that patiently sweat out those last lingering
days of wretched heat. And it's been
a hot one this year - at least in our neck
of the woods. So hot, that Tom and
I wanted to strangle that neck on most days.

prepare for fall dieting, we need some super-duper
tips, and oh boy, have we got tips. Nothing
involving horses, just good down-to-earth-I-can-do-these
tips. Over 1,000 of them in fact. Like

Diet Relaxation-Revitalize Tip: Grind or grate one cucumber until extremely fine
and mix with a dab of vitamin E cream. Apply to your face, taking care to avoid
the eye area. Let it 'rest' on your face for about 5 minutes.

Diet Myth: Hot sauce burns
a plethora of calories and fat. This one has been around for a while,
circling the Diet Village on Wings of Weight Loss Hope. You'd do better on your weight loss plan to get a little
warm via a good walk outdoors. Even a hot kiss will burn more
calories than hot sauce.
Setting weight loss
goals wisely. Let's take a 5'4" lady as our example. Let's say that she weighs 257 pounds. This is how she might set her weight goals:
- - Her FIRST weight goal will be 250 pounds.
- - Her SECOND weight goal will be 240 pounds.
- - Her THIRD weight goal will be 230 pounds.
- - Her FOURTH weight goal will be 220 pounds
- and so forth until
her final goal weight
is reached.
Setting
weight loss in ten pound
increments gives the dieter
something to aim for in
the short term, thus helping
them to remain focus on
weight loss. It's
always good to have a feeling
of accomplishment while
dieting.
