Fad Plans for Fat Loss

They have about a 100% rate of failure for permanent results. They are often very risky to the dieter's state of health, and have even proven lethal for some individuals.

The Seven Day Diet is a fad weight loss plan. We do not recommend this method for reduction and the following information is for your personal informational use only.

Menus for Seven Day Diet Plan

Monday

The plan states that the individual can consume an endless amount of fruits excepting bananas. This only promotes bingeing, gorging and weight gain rather than loss.

Fact: Body weight is governed by caloric intake. If Jane consumes three pears, three large apples, three mangos, 2 cups of assorted berries, 2 cups of guava and one large papaya she will have an intake of about 2000 kcals.

The average sized adult requires this amount to maintain a recommended weight. Generally, a fat reduction plan contains from 1400 to 1700 kcals daily, depending upon one's current size and the amount necessary to lose.

As a note, 4 cups of dried fruits also equals about 2000 calories.

Tuesday

We switch from fruit to vegetables, eating as much as desired. If the individual opts for corn, potatoes and sweet potatoes, those energy values can spike rapidly - even without the butter, bacon bits, grated cheese and added sour cream.

Wednesday

Today is a mix of Monday and Tuesday, allowing an unlimited amount of both fruits and vegetables. Again the healthy banana is omitted from the menu.

Thursday

Ah - here we go. Now the bananas are invited onto the menu in fierce force. Five of them with no size recommended. Therefore, the smart person will opt for 5 extra large specimens which equal about 10 - 12 small specimens. The allowance of five glasses of whole milk are also allowed. The definition of 'glass' can range from a few ounces to well over 3 cups, so again there is ample room for expansion of calories.

Friday Through Sunday

These three days are identical, so we suppose that the person who created this unhealthy plan got tired of thinking up ridiculous things to eat. Only four ounces of meat are allowed but the individual gets to pig-out on unlimited amounts of vegetables, but only green ones like lettuce, spinach and turnip greens. Yeah.
