The Health Seekers

Take Our Short Quiz to Determine if You are a Health Seeker

There is a new trend popping up in regards to diet and health which has little to do with weight loss. You too, may be a Health Seeker...

Over the years, terms have been propagated to define different groups or niches of dieters - from Vegans to Meat Eaters. Keeping in accordance with tradition, Diet Bites has chosen the term 'Seekers' to identify these serious forerunners in our new Age of Health.

Are you a Seeker? You can determine such by answering the questions below:

- Do you often search for products at your local market which contain less sugar, less fat and less preservatives?
- Are you concerned about the dietary health of your children and/or grandchildren, including the safety of our food chain?
- Are you interested in the power of super foods?
- Do you look for new activities that will contribute to your family's level of health - such as enrolling your child on a sport's team or dance class?
- Are you more concentrated on the quality of the food consumed within your house than you are with calories and carbs?
- Are you leery about using food-substitutes (such as sugar substitutes, butter/fat substitutes)?
- Are you concerned about the effect that the environment has on your family's health?
- Does the quality of school lunches concern you?
- Are you often looking intently through the vitamin section in search for products that will improve health & quality of life?
- Do you currently consume health supplements, including fiber supplements, calcium supplements & joint supplements?
- While shopping for meats, do you search through packages that contain leaner cuts of meat with little visible fat?
- Are you concerned about the level of stress in your everyday life?
- Do you often look for tips that lead to a better night's rest?
- Are you dedicated when it comes to visiting your family doctor or dentist?
- When visiting your family doctor, have you ever suggested a medication that you saw advertised?

If most of your answers to the above questions was 'yes' then you are indeed a Health Seeker. Seekers are continually seeking avenues that lead to a higher quality of life and in turn, a higher level of health - which in turn leads to a longer, more productive life.

Seekers tend to be more focused on achieving the goals above than on accomplishing 'the perfect weight'. Seekers can be any age, any size and any shape. Because Seekers search for healthier alternatives, it goes without saying that they tend to be healthier than non-Seekers.

Given the amount of Seekers springing up in this sometimes-confusing World of Dieting, Diet Bites is dedicating a section to the Seekers that aims to clear misconceptions surrounding health issues, as well as to point Seekers to new ideas that will further enhance their lives.
