Quality of Life vs Quantity

Written by Sky Taylor, Diet Bites

Long Life, Happy Life

It would be so grand if we could all live as long as we wanted to and for as long as we lived, we would enjoy a healthy, happy and prosperous life.

But life is short - even in its longest phase.

This is something that many of us start to realize as we climb over the half-century mark.

Twenty years prior and we were in our thirties - and having the time of our life, raising kids, working towards our future. On the other hand, moving twenty years forward and we'll be looking at our seventies.

Long Life, Miserable Life

How would we feel if we could live as long as we wanted to and for as long as we lived, we would have an okay life - not the best, just okay. Sort of aaaaaah.

In that event, most of us would choose a life that might not be as long in years as an oak, but a life filled with quality moments.

Which goes to prove that sometimes it's best to keep it short and sweet.

Tips for a Long & Happy Life

There are things that you can do to keep a happy note in your life - things that don't cost a thing.

Let's look at just a few.

Doing Special Things to Make Us Feel Better, Stress Relievers

- When times get tough, fill up the tub with soothing warm water, add a few bubbles and hop inside. A bubble bath always makes one feel better and in a happier mood.

Less Sugar in Our Daily Diet

- Keeping blood sugar levels even throughout your day can assist in making you feel better. If you like sugary things, take note that while they provide a blast of quick energy, when that energy is used by the body, there is a sudden plunge. You may feel suddenly drained.

This is why it's better to snack on a piece of fruit rather than that decadent chocolate brownie.

Best Things in Life are Free

- While it takes money to go places and buy things, some of the most precious moments in life don't come with a price tag. Those are the best ones to invite into your life where happy times are concerned.
