Well - it just might!  And an apple a day for good health certainly can't hurt.  The apple is an amazing piece of fruit containing about 100 calories for a medium-sized apple. And talk about variety!

Types of Healthy Apples for Your Diet

Red Delicious Apples - Great for snacking and baking. We recommend baking a medium cored apple in the microwave for about 5 minutes - or until done. Carefully remove and fill with Splenda, ground cinnamon, a spoon of brown sugar, a few raisins and no-calorie butter. Available year round at your local market.

Winesap Apples - A hint of wine in this all-purpose apple. Season - November through July.

Golden Delicious - Great baking beauty and snack. Great for apple pie baking and applesauce making. Season - September through June.

McIntosh Apple - Great all-purpose apple painted by Mother Nature in shades of red and green. Season - September through June.

Fuji Apple - Great all-purpose apple in a reddish-pink explosion. Generally unavailable at market in September.

Pink Lady Apple - Tangy and tart. Great all-purpose apple. Generally unavailable at market in September.
