Oh yes - we can say such, even out loud (just make sure that no one is standing nearby to listen in). But after saying such, the weight's still there, hanging around like bad breath and refusing to surrender to thin unless we take it upon ourselves to do something about it. We have to basically force it off our body via exercise and a wise weight loss plan. Food and drink can be so deceptive. When we are feeling blue and seek comfort, there Mister Rocky Road stands in all his handsome glory. There Ms Strawberry Short Cake sits in all her lovely. They are so tempting, assuring us through their scents and flavors that they are indeed our best friends - that they can make our sour moments sweet. Unfortunately, when we love them too much the end-result is always going to be weight gain. Friends, yeah - right! b. Wow - I've gained weight, but it's still not my TOP weight. I've weighed 10 pounds more than this in my life. I won't worry about that now. I'll wait until I have reached my top weight, then I'll worry about dieting. Again. Dieting ain't fun. And it's certainly not as fun as eating a chocolate cupcake. Does this sound familiar? I thought that it might to some of you. This is how I felt my own self before I ditched my other half of me. I know it might sound crazier than telling those extra pounds to get lost, but this is how I truly thought at times. I'd hop on the scales and if they didn't spring a spring then I'd look at the boss number and think, "Well, I'm not as heavy as I was at my all-time weight. In fact, I can still enjoy myself and gain a few more pounds before getting there. Now where did I put that box of lemon muffins - the ones with the healthy dose of poppy seeds on top of them..." If this is ringing a bell - don't be an idiot like I was; start to lose those extra pounds as in NOW. Gambling with extra pounds is only gambling with your good health. Heart attacks happen to people of all ages, as does cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, unhealthy cholesterol readings and so forth. You don't need that - start your weight loss plan now. Many individuals often feel like they have some room to gain weight - even when they are overweight. It's a common symptom of food addiction. I know because I suffered from food addiction myself. c. I've gained weight, but it's impossible to lose this much weight. No it's not and I'm here to assure you of that. And you can keep the weight off permanently if you adhere to a healthy diet going forward combined with a healthy dose of activity. d. I've lost weight and I want to continue to lose down to my perfect weight. Now we're talking! We're starting to walk the healthy walk. e. I've lost weight and I want to continue losing until I reach the weight that I feel best. You are indeed a very wise dieter and will benefit greatly in the area of better health and possibly a much longer life span. You deserve Diet Bites Golden Star Award. In Summary: The key is changing the way one thinks about food. We must eat to live rather than live to eat. And we must think of overeating as an avenue leading to health risks - not comfort or delicious flavors that we live to enjoy.
