If you take a glance at our Nutrition Fact Chart posted below, it's filled-in with some impressive numbers. A one cup serving of malted milk that has been prepared using a powdered mix and whole milk contains the following nutrients:

* Calories = 228 kcals. This can be reduced by using low fat milk rather than whole.
* Protein is substantial at almost 10 grams.
* Carbohydrates are close to 30 grams.

* There are over 500 milligram's of potassium.

* Vitamin C content is surprising at almost 30 mg's.

* Of the approximate 9 grams of fat, over half of the grams are in the form of saturated fat which isn't a plus. That's quite a lot of fat for 8 fluid ounces. Low fat milk will assist in trimming the saturated fat.

* Calcium content is also impress at over 300 mg's per serving. 

As a note, malted foods do tend to be high in caloric values.

High Calories & High Fat Content

In summary, malted milk that is prepared with whole milk can fit into a healthy weight loss plan but for such a small serving, the dieter can enjoy so much more food.

For example, the following fruit selections total about the same number of energy values: 1 small banana, a peach, a plum, a cup of strawberries, a kiwi, and a cup of cantaloupe.
