Jamba Juice Calories

Jamba Juice Power Size Selection
We think it's called Power Size because these menu selections contain a powerful amount of calories. All exceed 300 calories, but some selections contain more than a full lunch and dinner meal combined!
Selections Highest in Calories
Let's view those priciest in energy values.
Peanut Butter Moo'd contains 1,170 kcals. Seriously? You can enjoy this for the same number of calories:
Breakfast: A waffle with light margarine, a cup of fresh strawberries, and a cup of coffee [with creamer]. 225 kcals
Lunch: A Mexican Meal consisting of one beef or cheese enchilada, a serving of rice and refried beans with unsweetened iced tea. 400 kcals
Dinner: A very large salad containing roasted chicken, chick peas, spring vegetables, tomato, cucumber, a few dried cranberries, 1 Tablespoon of chopped walnuts, served with light balsamic dressing - plus a side of crusty bread and an unsweetened iced tea. 375 kcals
And we still have about 200 calories to use for snack time, so we can choose from lots of healthy fruits - high in nutritional values.
The Vitamin C Factor
A lot of individuals grab the juice because of its awesome Vitamin C content. But because it is so high in kcals, a supplement may accomplish the same benefits with insignificant calories.
And there is a thing as Vitamin C toxicity. Symptoms include but are not limited to: diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, abdominal cramping, headaches, heartburn, and the inability to get adequate sleep.
If you are seeking a healthier body you'll need to keep away from the higher calorie selections. These high energy values are chiefly due to sugar content.
While juice-based beverages CAN BE a healthy choice, that's not set in stone. Because many of the selections at Jamba Juice are extreme in caloric content, your body would be best served by eating a nutrition-packed salad containing healthy proteins, greens, nuts, seeds and low calorie vegetables.
