Sport's Drinks Associated With Poor Dental Health

There have been reports that sport's drinks can lead to severe dental issues, including the erosion of enamel which protects teeth. Therefore, ask your doctor's opinion if you consume these often.

Packed With Electrolytes

The body's electrolytes keep the body in balance. If you are performing heavy activity, such as hand-mowing on a very hot summer day, or construction work - you'll need to ensure that you don't become dehydrated.

The body's three central electrolytes are sodium, calcium and potassium. Sport's and Activity drinks work to replenish these electrolytes.

When we perform heavy work, the result is a lot of sweating. If you've ever tasted sweat - and who hasn't when it runs down their face and onto the parched lips - you'll note a salty taste. When we sweat, we lose more sodium than potassium or calcium.

If you've ever consumed a sport's drink, you are familiar with the saline-taste of the beverage.
