Excellent Natural Diuretic

If you have recently participated in a sodium overload event, and if you are susceptible to the side effects of such (bloating to gi-normous proportions) then head for the cranberry juice.

This super food is an excellent diuretic - meaning that it can assist in sweeping retained water from the body, thus relieving bloat.

Let's Take a Gawk at the Nutritional Values

Per cup unsweetened cranberry juice contains the following health benefits: 20 milligrams of calcium which can assist in supporting bone health, zero cholesterol - and where cholesterol is concerned, zero is the best number to see; we also see about a gram of protein, almost 200 milligrams of potassium and not even a half-gram of total fat.

We're certainly impressed!

Now let's look at the caloric content. Eight ounces contains 116 calories. How does this compare to the sweetened cranberry juice? The sweetened version contains about 140 kcals - so you'll be saving about 30 kcals by opting for the less sugary fruit of the vine.

Immunity Booster

Many fruit juices also contain significant amount of Vitamin C which can assist in boosting immunity. Cranberry juice contains about 23.5 milligrams per cup, and that's pretty stellar.

When the flu and cold season prepare to settle in for the long bitter winter ahead, adding fruit juices such as unsweetened cranberry may help you avoid such.
