Baby Heads of Cabbage

Technically not - but that's how I think of this vegetable. And if you've ever enjoyed Brussel Sprouts straight from the garden, then you know how buttery that they can taste - without adding any fat whatsoever.

They remind me of English peas who tend to also hold a buttery flavor when picked and prepared directly from the garden.

Here Comes the Stink

Perfume - they're not! Unfortunately so, every time that I've prepared these babies, the house smells so staunch that I promise myself that I'm never going to do such again.

The stench is so strong that I've been tempted to take them outdoors amid the cooking process, but once they are transported inside, the scent seems to follow them - and it's even worse after they have been eaten.

Such is life - all of these bothersome little issues associated with such.

Nonetheless, if you can get past the stink, you'll benefit your body greatly by adding Brussel Sprouts to your meal plate - as well as to your weight loss plan. They are ridiculously minimal in caloric content - only 32 calories per 1/2 cup serving. They also hold a substantial amount of Beta Carotene, Potassium and Vitamin K.

To decrease the gassy impact once the enter the digestive system, there are products available at the store which can work to accomplish such.
