Breaking Bread for Your Healthy Weight Loss Plan

We can create so many different recipes using bread - and there are so many different varieties to choose from.

Flour, water, oil and eggs can create a plethora of different shapes, sizes, textures and types of bread - from kangaroo pocket to cornbread to bagels - or even cinnamon rolls.

Once we bake or purchase our favorite types, there is always the issue of its shelf life. But even at this point, we can still work magic.

- We can freeze the bread in tightly sealed packages for future use. Fortunately, it reheats well and generally pops back to its original fresh state.

- We can feed the birds with stale leftovers.

- Or we can make crumbs and use them in our favorite recipes - from breading foods to using inside of recipes to add flavor and texture.

- What about a delicious bread pudding? Add a little milk, a little sugar substitute, some vanilla extract and flavorings - and don't forget to add the fruit.
