Quickest Chili Recipe
When the day's done and you're feeling so tired that you're barely able to pull yourself inside the door - much less spend time slaving over a hot stove, this quick chili recipe's for you! There are only a few ingredients and all can be adjusted to suit personal taste.
In addition, our Quick Chili recipe adapts easily to most vegetarian diets. Grab a loaf of crusty bread or a stack of crackers and you'll have yourself a tasty meal in a matter of minutes that will stick to your bones.
Ingredients for Quick Diet Chili Recipe
1/2 cup of chopped onions
1 can of dark or light kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can of yellow or white hominey, drained
2 Tablespoons of chili powder + 1 Tablespoon of ground cumin + 1 teaspoon of dried or freshly chopped cilantro OR you can use a package of your favorite taco seasoning instead
1 medium size can of diced tomatoes
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
Small shot of fresh lime juice (optional)
How to Prepare Our Quick Diet Chili
Place olive oil in a deep pot and add onions. Cook until clarified. Add the remaining ingredients and cook until bubbly.
Top with your favorite grated cheese. Serve with crusty bread, biscuits, corn or flour tortilla shells, crackers if desired. Jalapeno peppers also pair well with our Quick Tuscan Chili.
