Smart Weight Loss, Calculating Daily Calorie Intake & a Positive Mind

If you're trying to lose weight, remember that it takes time. One pound equals 3,500 calories or a giant cheeseburger, a giant pack of fries and a malt.

For each pound lost, the dieter must trim current calories in the daily diet by 500 calories per day to result in a one pound rate of weight lost per week. Many dieters opt to trim 1,000 calories per day, which equals a 2 pound rate of weight loss per week, which happens to be the average.

But please, don't sell yourself short on calories because to do such will undermine your personal health and actually, can kill a good weight loss plan. Your body will also suffer loss of muscle mass, energy and will be placed at risk for illness. So again, that is why we recommend a weight loss plan calculated on calories necessary to maintain your recommended weight.
