The Free Easy Diet Plan Breakfast Menus - Aim to keep breakfast at about 300 calories.

Breakfast tends to be the most rushed meal of the day. Most of us are off to work or school and there is no time to dilly-dally in the humble kitchen. Eating on the run is the Diet Pits. When we don't take time to focus on what we're eating, we later experience the need to chew - and the need to focus on what we're chewing.

If you're rushed in the mornings, or even if you're not, one of the best choices is grains in the form of cereal - hot or cold. Add a splash of healthy milk. If you enjoy skim or 1% milk, you can save a lot of calories and fat grams which can help you lose weight quicker. If not, try cutting back on the amount of milk that you add to your cereal. Also add a healthy piece of fruit to your cereal. Honey Nut Cheerios and sliced banana, oatmeal with golden raisins and a dash of cinnamon,  and so forth. The combinations are endless and delicious and yes, nutritious.

Tom and I keep a measuring cup in our cereal boxes so we never have to second-guess the number of calories we're scooping out. Making the measuring process easier ensures that this important Diet Tool continues to be utilized.

Other great healthy breakfast options include:

- bagel & light whipped cream cheese; press a few golden raisins or dried cranberries into the cream cheese for added nutrition

- whole grain toast and fruit preserves

- packaged whole grain waffles or pancakes with a pat of butter

- frozen fruit or fresh fruit

- boiled egg and whole grain toast
