Believing in Weight LossDo you often dream of being your recommend weight? Is the thought overwhelming because accomplishing that goal seems unbelievable? Whether it's dropping 150 pounds or 10 pounds, dieting can be overwhelming. With so many unknowns in our future, it's practically impossible to be prepared for everything that might foil our diet plan. Holidays, company picnics, family get-togethers and other festivities threaded throughout the year represent tiny mines in our Diet Path that often block or sabotage our weight loss goals. We could continue making a long list of Diet Blockades, but let's focus on believing in weight loss. Let's say that we're having a fun picnic - filled with lots of healthy foods for argument's sake. Suddenly, we discover that we're in need of paper plates because we don't have anything to put the food on. So we get in our car - and we drive to the store. Although we know there is a possibility that we might have an accident along the way, rarely - if ever, do we stop and say, "I don't believe we are going to make it to the store!"
Nope. We just get into our car and take off having every intention of making our destination safely. We believe we will get there. If we could take and bottle that type of confidence, weight loss would be so easy to accomplish. So the next time that you start having doubts about losing weight, remember this little clip. Rather than not believing you can lose weight, start to believe that you can! Having a positive take on weight loss carries a powerful punch while dieting. When we don't believe that we can reach our weight loss goals, if allows room for failure, making it easier to take that second helping, that too-sweet snack, and to avoid getting adequate exercise. So believe in yourself - and keep those thoughts positive when it comes to weight loss and achieving a healthier body. Life should be fun - and dieting should be easy.
