Quesadilla Recipe for Your Diet Plan

Almost anything between flour tortillas has to be good - from beef to beans. But our quesadilla is packed with more flavor than calories and fat.

Cheese & Black Bean Quesadilla - 2 tortillas no more than 110 calories each (corn or flour).

Quickly place remaining tortilla on top to form quesadilla. Cut into four triangles. Quesadillas contain about 225 calories each.

Dip into 2 Tablespoons of regular sour cream; also enjoy as much salsa as you like with your quesadilla.

Also enjoy 1/2 cup of refried black beans. Whip the black beans, then add the following spices: chili powder, ground cumin, a bit of salsa and cooked onions to them.

Sprinkle on 1 Tablespoon of grated cheese - any variety. Our calorie calculation is based on using the cheese.'Fry' in pan using cooking spray until golden brown.

Remove and add 1 slice of mozzarella cheese (50 calories), 1/4 cup of your favorite salsa. 1/4 cup of drained black beans (warmed & fully cooked) and 1 cup of raw spinach to one tortilla.

Dancing Spanish Rice & Black Beans, a Low Calorie Recipe

Choose your favorite song to dance by when serving our tasty Spanish Rice & Black Beans. Drum roll please.....

Ingredients for this low calorie recipe:black beans

1 can of black beans, drained & rinsed (about 400 calories)
4 cups of instant white rice (about 800 calories)
grated mozzarella cheese (500 calories worth)
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 cup of chopped onions & bell peppers (any variety)
cooking spray

To prepare, saute onions and peppers using cooking spray on the stove top. Add rice and 3 cups of water, the tomatoes and black beans. Bring to a boil and cover, removing from heat. Add cheese and stir. OR, add cheese at the table to suit personal tastes.

Entire recipe contains about 1,850 calories. Makes 6 generous servings for about 300 calories each.


Slow Black Bean to China, a Low Calorie Recipe

This low fat, low calorie recipe comes complete with a little twisty kick. Diet Martial Arts Style.....

Ingredients for this low calorie recipe:

1 small can of black beans, drained & rinsed
1 package of Ramen Noodles - the Noodles Only

1 cup of raw chicken, cubed

1/2 cup of diced onions

cooking spray

Chinese Sauce (We like House of Tsang's Spicy Szechuan's for 25 calories per serving.)

Cook chicken with onions using cooking spray if needed. Prepare noodles as directed on package, omitting the seasoning package. Add beans to cooked chicken and onions. Add Chinese Sauce. Serve over Ramen Noodles.
