Italian Black Bean Pasta, a Low Calorie Recipe for Weight Loss

Kiss-up to our Italian Black Bean Pasta and see the pounds melt away while you're basking in the delicious flavors of Italy - without the high fat and calories, of course.

Ingredients for this low calorie recipe:
1 small can of black beans, drained and rinsed (about 400 calories)
6 cups of prepared pasta*  (about 1,200 calories)
1/2 cup of Balsamic Vinegar
Sliced Sausage Link - 2 (We love Bistro Sensations Gouda Cheese & Apples for 130 calories. Two links contain 260 calories. Slice into thin circles.)

Cook sausage on stove top using cooking spray if needed. Add pasta and beans and heat until warm. Toss with balsamic vinegar.

Entire recipe contains about 1,875 calories. Serves 6 for about 312 calories each.

*Tom and I are Pasta Lovers, so I generally keep a sealed container of prepared pasta in our fridge. Preparation is so easy via the microwave. Pour pasta into a deep microwave-proof bowl then add water until it rises just over the pasta. Place into microwave. Ours cooks a perfect pasta in 20 minutes, but of course, all microwaves cook differently. So keep a watch on your pasta the first time out.

After the pasta cooks, simply drain, add a Tablespoon of olive oil to coat pasta, then place into fridge after it cools a bit.
