The Count Down Diet Plan

Did your southern beach diet end up being more of a beached trout than a sunny success?

If you're still combing the beach in search of that buried treasure which contains a map to Weight Loss Success, quit tripping over the shovel handle and take time out to dig-out on one of our favorite diet plans - The Count Down Diet Plan.

Just follow these simple steps - and be sure and get your doctor's thumb's up before starting on any weight reduction plan.

Determine Recommended Body Weight

1. Determine your recommended weight. Weight Charts

Determine Energy Needs

2. Determine the amount of calories necessary to maintain your recommended weight. Calculate Daily Calorie Needs

Journal Your Diet

3. Keep a total of your daily calories while enjoying 3 healthy meals per day based on the Official Food Pyramid's food group recommendations (view here for that). Stick to your daily calorie allotment.

Activity is One of the Important Keys to Losing Fat

4. Add activity to your diet plan.

Many dieters do not realize that in order to weigh 'x' amount, they will have to embrace a diet containing the amount of calories necessary to support that weight for the rest of their lives.

An excess of calories quickly equals weight gain. Our Count Down Diet Plan helps the dieter lose weight while gaining knowledge of what their new life-long diet will be like.

Maintaining Ideal Weight

In order to maintain recommended weight, an individual must commit to a lifetime of healthy eating - not just a few months for that all-important diet.

Keep in mind that losing weight doesn't happen overnight and requires great patience.

All too often, individuals become discouraged when they do not see instant results on their bathroom scales; it's not uncommon at the beginning of the weight loss plan to actually see an increase in the numbers - but this is very short-lived. Soon, the numbers start declining and weight loss settles in.

In addition, when setting your goal weight - that number that you want to get to on your bathroom scales, don't reach too far by setting it too low or your may fall off of your weight loss plan before it even begins.

If necessary - set mini-weight loss goals if you have a significant amount of pounds to lose. This will allow you to experience success along the 'weigh' to your final goal weight number.
