Weight Loss Success Story Tips

Need a little Diet Bling when it comes to weight loss results? If you're like most dieters, foods that reside outside of the healthy food pyramid often appear more tempting that those that reside within. And there is nothing razzley-dazzley when it comes to bland foods. Therefore, it's time to perk-up the Pyramid! And who doesn't like perky?

Before we get into those perky tips, there is a thought that I'd like to share with you that may help while dieting. Tom and I were in an area the other day that had been almost totally destroyed by man's ignorance. Trash and debris littered the once-pristine natural area and we imagined that the little critters of the evening often got cut as they scurried through the trash in search of food. Glass, old cans, hulled-out appliances - and even a kitchen sink was embedded within the natural area.

As I looked around feeling a bit hopeless, I noticed a magnificent oak planted in the middle of the area. And I thought....the oak didn't choose to be here. Most likely it was the result of a bird's handiwork. And amid the garbage and liter, this gem had grown tall and strong.

In turn, it reminded me of many things - such as the decimated Daily Diet. I remembered my struggles with my weight in a former life a decade ago. My poor dietary habits surrounded me at the time. From cupcake wrappers to empty oil containers, my Daily Diet was a total wreck. But even so, I was able to rise above to reach a stronger level of health.

Like the oak in the decimated meadow, it wasn't easy at times. Storms came in the form of temptation, impatience and longing - yet as I remained steadfast, I succeeded in losing weight. It's the most important weight loss success story that I know because it happened to me. And if you're wanting to accomplish the same - I'm here to tell you that you can. The Razzle Dazzle Diet Tips below can help you achieve your personal weight loss success story.

How to Razzle Dazzle Your Daily Diet

By mixing just a touch of 'traditionally taboo' foods as well as healthy-based foods with your reduced calorie diet plan, a razzle dazzle effect can easily be accomplished. The results include: a) the addition of minimal calories - even though some foods might be lacking nutritional values; b) a more satisfied palate; c) a 'comfort food' sensation which can serve as a calming effect by providing dieters with a healthier connection to their unhealthier Diet Past. Here's how we like to razzle dazzle from time-to-time:

Fruits - Add razzle dazzle to fresh fruits by adding light whipped topping, a small dusting of powdered sugar, and sugar-free/fat-reduced yogurt for dipping. Or, take a different route when it comes to preparation methods and try cooking your fresh fruits. Example: pop a cored apple into the microwave for a few minutes then carefully remove; top with a sprinkling of healthy ground cinnamon, a dash of vanilla and a squirt of no-calorie butter spray.

Vegetables- Add razzle dazzle to fresh vegetables by using healthy yogurt as a dipping sauce. Other dips that razzle dazzle include: a) light sour cream; b) whipped light-variety cream cheese (whip low fat cream cheese with a little skim milk). To add even more razzle dazzle, add any of the following to both sour cream and cream cheese - just not all at once: sliced green olives, sliced black olives, small dried fruits such as dried cranberries or golden raisins, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, chopped chives.

To razzle dazzle cooked vegetables, try adding a spoon of your favorite jam or preserves - such as a teaspoon of orange marmalade to sliced carrots which had been cooked in a non-stick skillet using cooking spray. For about 25 calories and 0 fat grams, you're created glazed carrots. Other razzle dazzle diet tops include: a) whip your cooked veggies then doctor with spices, such as ground cinnamon; b) use color to razzle dazzle such as serving the following mix contained in their own compartments on your plate: baby orange carrots, baby green spinach, yellow squash, red beets.

Dairy- Add razzle dazzle to dairy foods by starting with skim or light versions, then building from there. Above, we mentioned how-to's for cream cheese and sour cream. As for skim milk, try adding frozen strawberries, a shot of vanilla extract and a dash of Splenda then whirling the mix in a blender. We've got tons of original recipes using skim milk as a base at Diet Bites.

Grains - Add razzle dazzle to grains by using our favorite set of Six Guns: ground spices, dried fruits, fresh herbs, no calorie butter, extracts, sugar substitute. Example: Razzle dazzle cooked oatmeal by adding the following: no calorie butter, dash of ground cinnamon, a teaspoon of golden raisins, Splenda - or your fav no-cal sugar. It's Heaven in a Spoon for about 175 calories per serving.

Proteins - Add razzle dazzle to proteins by mixing with all of the other blocks of the Food Pyramid - including other proteins. Lean cooked chicken without the skin is awesome when mixed with the following: baby spinach, dried cranberries, a few garbanzo beans, shredded carrots, chopped apple with the skin, sunflower seeds (hulled of course!), a few cubes of your favorite cheese, a couple of croutons. Sprinkle with wheat germ and you've got instant razzle dazzle!
