This recipe will beckon black olive lovers by the grove, so be sure to make plenty. They are ultra easy to make. Simply follow the directions below. You will need:
- - 1 can of extra large, pitted black olives, drained thoroughly
- - 1 can of small pitted black olives, drained thoroughly
- - About 3 ounces of reduced fat cream cheese
- - 1 small jar of pimentos
- - 1 large carrot
- - party toothpicks (with the frilly tops)
-
- Cut a slit in one side of an extra large olive. Fill with the cream cheese via a plastic bag that has a tiny hole cut into one corner. If a thinner consistency for the cream cheese is desired, whip the cream cheese with a bit of low fat milk before filling the bag.
-
- Next, cut off one thick slice of carrot from the large end and use it as a base to support your penguin. popcorn. Use a little of the cream cheese for glue if necessary. Next, stick a toothpick through a small olive and attach it to the extra large olive. This will be the head of your holiday penguin. Use small pieces of carrot and pimento to create the beak and eyes.
