Common Symptoms of Dieting

Have you ever experienced a task which involved a lot of hard work and at the end of the adventure you said to yourself, "If only I'd known all the hurdles I would have faced, this task would have been so much easier"?
We are flooded with information dealing with the benefits of weight loss, but the negative symptoms of dieting are rarely acknowledged. Although Diet Bites has several articles dealing with this issue, we wanted to touch base once again as a reminder of what to expect in hopes of making the fresh dieter's weight loss adventure more fun than not, as well as to create a sense of awareness that could even help save a life. On that note, common symptoms of dieting include:
- hunger pains, at times severe
- headaches, often due to ditching high calorie colas, coffees and teas spiked with caffeine
- shakes due to blood sugar level issues
- digestive issues which may include constipation, diarrhea, upset tummy, sluggish digestive track, heartburn, belching, bloating and other gassy issues.
- irritability, frustration
- soreness associated with exercise and increased activity
- death
