How to Make Diet Firewood, Diet Deadwood

Have you ever been on a diet and felt constantly tempted by former Weight Gain Buddies?

For anyone dieting, the foods listed below can serve as Diet Firewood - Diet Teasers if you will.
 
And what does Diet Firewood do?
 
It burns up the best of diet plans - some times, even diet plans covered in fire retardant Diet Menus.

 

 

Some of the biggest teasers tend to be:

chocolate
chips
ice cream
cheese
fried foods with french fries at the top
donuts, pastries, cakes, pies
soft drinks
gravy
butter
cookies (they tend to be in a league all of their own!)
pizza
burgers & dogs
 
The plan of action involves turning the Diet Firewood into Diet Deadwood. To accomplish such, one must find healthier alternatives to those pesky Diet Teasers. Here are just a few suggestions that may be of help:
DIET TEASERS DIET PLEASERS
chocolate Enjoy 1 small piece of dark chocolate which will not only douse those flames that threaten, but will also render a few healthy benefits due to the dark in chocolate.
chips Reach for a snack pack of baked chips.
ice cream When nothing but ice cream will do - opt for varieties low in fat and sugar content.
cheese Low fat string cheese (60 calories per stick).
fried foods RUN, RUN, RUN - straight to a small baked potato for a tiny 120 calories.
donuts, pastries, cakes, pies Reach for the snack size 100 calorie versions when nothing else will do. Although many commercial recipes are low in sugar and fat, calorie content may be close to the full blown recipe.
soft drinks Grab a diet 'anything' beverage and do it quickly. If you find that you just can't do without those sugary sodas, allow one per day and count those calories!
gravy Measure out. 1/4 cup of commercially packaged gravy generally equals 50 calories. Run from gravy which is created from the meat drippings unless you want your weight scales to be dripping over with too many pounds.
butter Go light! OR, go zero calorie butter spray.
cookies Opt for tiny cookies such as animal cookies, ginger snaps, and vanilla wafers. Then munch slowly.
pizza There are so many diet-friendly pizzas at the local market these days - so have a blast!
burgers & dogs Opt for the leanest cuts, then skip the Mayo for mustard. Pile your burgers high with veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, onions) and use light butter spray if you toast your buns. Making burger patties thin trims the calories, as well as trims you!
