Grapes of Diet Wrath
Grapes are so nutritionally powerful
that they can even help prevent ageing by boosting the body’s defenses against certain types of cancer.
For
a tasty diet treat that is ultra
low in calories, place a few grapes
into the freezer on waxed paper
until frozen. Be sure the grapes
do not touch one another.
Grapes
also compliment salads well - both
vegetable based salads as well as
fruit salads.
Although
grape juice contains about two times
the calories as grapes, it's a delicious
treat, particularly at the end of
a hot summer day. A trick to cut
calories is to use about 1/2 a cup
of grape juice to 1/2 cup of carbonated
water which will render a fizzy
treat with 1/2 the calories of 100%
grape juice.
