Tips for Fast Weight Loss
Need to drop some
weight for a special occasion? Whether you're
looking to drop weight for fun in the sun or that special
day, we've got some tips to help you trim down fast!
Dedicate
five days to weight loss and you just may be very surprised
at what you and your body can accomplish! Be sure
to get your doctor's approval before trying any weight
loss menu or program.
The great
thing about this diet is that it can begin on Monday
and end on Friday. It also incorporates healthy
foods that are low in fat. Another plus? No
counting calories. Be sure to weigh on Monday morning
BEFORE beginning.
The Summer
Diet
FOOD NOTES:
Keep
in mind that bananas, pears and apples contain
more calories than strawberries, plums, peaches and
apricots. Fresh or frozen fruit should be used.
If canned fruit is used, be sure to purchase the
natural juice variety.
Breakfast:
For five days, enjoy a bowl of cereal for breakfast
(hot or cold) with skimmed milk PLUS 1 cup of your favorite
fruit.
Lunch:
For five days, enjoy a sandwich* for lunch OR a serving
of lean meat with a small roll. Also enjoy a package of your favorite
chips (150 calories or less) OR a small side salad.
Also enjoy 1/2 cup of your favorite fruit.
* Whole wheat bread offers
healthier benefits than most versions of white bread.
Opting for mustard over Mayo will also save on
calories and fat.
Sandwich
will contain fewer calories if it is prepared with lean
meat rather than chicken salad, pimento cheese, peanut
butter, tuna salad or egg salad - HOWEVER, feel free
to choose any of these, keeping fillings sensible.
Dinner:
For one week, enjoy a big salad for dinner that
is filled with 4 cups of Assorted Greens
PLUS any of the following: 4 cherry tomatoes OR 1 small
tomato, 1 carrot, 1 small cucumber radishes, cauliflower,
broccoli, mushrooms PLUS 1/2 cup of cubed roasted/broiled/grilled
LEAN meat, 1 slice of cheese (cut up into salad and
no more than 70 calories - or you can use block cheese
equalling 70 or less calories). Dip into your
favorite salad dressing - using serving amount suggested
on bottle for a single serving.
Also enjoy
1 cup of your favorite soup PLUS 1/2 cup of your favorite
fruit.
Evening
Snack OR Bedtime Snack:
1/2 cup of SKIMMED milk blended with 1/2 cup of
your favorite frozen fruit OR 4 cups of hot air popcorn
sprayed with no-calorie butter spray.
Activity:
Whether it's walking or shooting hoops, get in 10
minutes minimum of activity per day - all in one sweep.
Need ideas?
Walk the dog;
Walk around the mall and window shop AS you are walking;
after 10 minutes, you're free to go buy!
Jump rope
Swimming OR taking a Shower Bath in the yard with friends
or family;
Do a bit of gardening or mow the grass.

Weighing in on Saturday MORNING, before you eat.
